Here is a copy of an interesting email I recently received:

This guy actually removed his relative's swimming pool and installed it in the basement of his home!

Here is his email to me
(email from Mike)

Hello, I stumbled upon your page.....I thought it was interesting. My (now ex) father-in-law had a 16 x 30 inground in his backyard that he wanted removed. Since I owned a Bobcat type loader, and had knowledge of how steel walled pools are put together, (When my uncle was living he use to build pools), I agreed to take on the job. I did it a bit different though. After draining the water, and busting up the concrete walk way (by hand), I took a pick and shovel, and dug down 3 1/2 feet deep, 2ft wide. Then rented a jackhammer and busted up another foot thick of concrete. I then unbolted each wall, and carefully took them all out. Then did the finish work, grading, and so on. After I got married, I wanted a pool (Thats why I saved his entire pool), so I reassembled half of his old pool and installed it in my basement and made a room to house it. It looks like an Endless pool (www.endlesspool.com), its 16ft long by 9ft wide. I even made a "form" and poured concrete to produce a 4.5 ft deep end. I had to install this all above ground. Did all this 6yrs ago, and still enjoy it every day! just wanted to share that with ya. Take care!

Cheers!

Mike.
